Plastics recycling company scouts for Erie sites

IRG Chairman Mitch Hecht: “We have looked at nine available sites so far.”

International Recycling Group, which announced plans in August to build a $100 million plastics recycling plant in Erie, is apparently moving closer to picking a location.

One challenge, however, might be finding a site that’s both located inside a federal Opportunity Zone and large enough for what’s billed as the world’s largest plastics recycling facility.
